In an average lifespan, if you had a million kisses to either give or receive, that would be 34 a day, or about two every waking hour of every day, which would be a very pleasant experience. A Million Kisses daffodil is also a pleasant show of affection : bred in the English Channel islands it puckers up with very round and overlapping white segments with a flattened yellow and broad -orange-banded frilly cup. Freshly registered, AMK is a love child of Jersey Lace.

Anyone referring to a flower named 'Buttercup' elicits all kinds of confusion. Are they referencing a Ranunculus, using a generic term for jonquils that bloom freely in the South, increasingly as an alias for TÃte-‡-TÃte? One of the several daffodils registered under that name? We offer the historic Rev. Engleheart jonquilla 'Buttercup', a strong grower with large flowers more reminiscent of a historic small cup. Rare. Brings intense happiness to the gardener. Smells good.

Call the firemen, bring a hose. Peter Ramsey's Cameo series is an extended family distinguished by their perfect perianths across many shapes and color combinations.

Here's looking at you, Kid. Small Cupped daffodils add a stately and calm presence to the bed and the arrangement. Capisco is punctuated by a spicy and colorful eye. Good for cut flowers. We love the small cups so much and while florists may not know them, they are first rate in architecture and mixability. Buds up tall, long lasting. ADS Classic

Very floriferous and very tall yellow and orange Tazetta. A perfect thing, likely a Poetaz , from Bill Pannill. Fantastic imposing plant, olé.

A Palomino horse has a single "cream" gene. Cremellos have two. The van der Veek stables have bred a lot of terrific trumpets, or near trumpets that are great in the landscape and not at all like the usual trumpet fare on the bench. We just fell head over heels, or rather hoof over fetlock for Cremello, a color so soft as not to detract from the muscular shape. New introduction.

Who would pick Dr. Fleming out of the Spring Intelligence Service line-up? Like all of the frilly faces, carrot-faced or not, old Alexander is a reliable thriller. Given a second chance I would plant him in gravel and manure. Dr. Alex sports a white halo.

Gloriosus is a floriferous and beautiful very old tazetta with strong orange colored cups and a classic strong, sweet, fragrance. Pollen and seed fertile Glorious is also self fertile and "seeds like crazy" . A thing of joy and glory forced in a pot or as a cut flower. Needs a winter blanket in northern zones. Not to be confused with the tazetta cultivar "Glorious".

One generation away from a species cyclamineus, Brian DuncanÃs Kaffry is easily the tallest division 6 we can think of. Colorful to boot. Grows and shows well. Very limited stocks.

In the States, in a crowdsourced competition, he would have been named ìSnooty McSnootfaceî, but Snooty is indeed an Irish Lord of both Trumpets and reverse bi-colors. Awesome flower, sired by Brian Duncan. New Introduction, doesnÃt appear to be registered at this writing. Only a few bulbs to offer.

An ostentatious and colorful newer introduction from the house of Veek. The color is very pleasing to the eye, the form we are calling ìmodern baroqueî.

A Grant Mitsch bred Tazetta of great power and distinction. Bountifully floriferous, with sharp mucrons and rich colors. One of the Novelty Bird Series: Motmot is a tropical bird of the family Momotidae. Jonquil cross.

A full flavored cyclamineus, and a reverse bi-color one at that. We adore the sixes and try to list a lot, the only other reverse bi-cycli we offer is Lemon Silk, who is a cool sophisticate. But Peppercorn has a perky profile and is peppery all over. That flanged cup, oh baby that lasts long on the taste buds. By Ron ëHotstuffà Scamp. Just a handful to offer.

A little late 20th century Apodanthi x Apodanthi cross, Pequenita is a miniature, well-formed jonquil that grows well and is notably tidy and consistent : a natural show flower. Early. ADS Miniature.

A recent introduction ; a feminine white jonquilla, two to a scape, with a delicate pink blush at the rim. From Carlos van der Veek , as is the contemporaneous jonquil Amore Mio . Not sure if this daffodil is named for a person, or is an affirmation as in ìSay yes to loveî.
