Angel's Whisper : An equally robust sister to Angel's Breath. Both are a species Jonquil x species triandrus cross. From Tasmania.

April Tears is an Alec Gray cross of species N.jonquilla and N.triandrus. An ol dfavorite of the division. Blooms too late to be of much use above zone 7a, Seed parent to the terrific Tripartite, similar to Hawera. Triandrus seem to prefer slightly acidic soil over alkaline.

A new introduction, Arctic Bells is a bulbocodium from Walter Blom. It is classified as a Yellow-Yellow, but it is more of a white flower, in the way that White petticoat is white. We were surprised to see the seed parent is the perfect bloomer : Border Beauty, picture attached. Who would think of that ?

A stunning all white large cup. More an ivory color than a clear white with a profound green eye. Possesses a regal, royal wave in the cup for all that pass by. Daughter of the widely grown Misty Glen.
Areley Kings may not be the biggest bloom, but it is consistent, perennial and blooms freely. It is a daffodil that we always take to a show, and always enter it : a reliable workhorse of a show daffodil.

An antique double. A truly joyous bloomer that deserves a place in any border or cottage garden. Daughter of Telamonious Plenus and Ornatus. Given the parentage Argent should be expected to perform in the deep south, but I can't find any explicit mentions of that.

Ballistic. Bright perfectly formed, well structured double with 4 inch blooms. Full throated Kiwi style from New Zealand. There is a lot of crowd swell for this daffodil, it has a very bright future in the commercial market. Photographs don't do Ballistic justice. You will so want this daffodil when you see it. We did.

Here's a lively new bulbocodium introduction. Cup is lightly ribbed. She is not registered as such, but for the time being we are listing it as Ballroom Belle. It was acquired as Blom Hoop 2 - 146.

Bell Fly is a recent posthumous introduction from Walter Blom, and what a high-spirited cyclamineus it is. Dare we say that it is broader, longer and more zippy than daffodil Iwona that we love so much ? Not pink, but orange cupped. An early dwarf, vigorous. We are unable to determine the origin of the name. Limited stock.

An Englehardt cultivar, similar to Conspicuus , but Brilliancy keeps his yellow perianth color, loud cup, and is really tall. Another old timer that brings real, perennial, spring glory to the bed and landscape. Unlike us, the petals get slender and slim with age. Small availability,

A fragrant and early little cyclamineus offspring of Gipsy Queen, Bunnie Bee is another miniature from the universe of tiny flowers by Walter Blom.

A very small, all golden yellow Bulbocodium from Walter Blom.

A delicate flower, a cross of Limequilla and species triandrus. Pale relexed petals, rich, pendant, and bulbous, cup. We find Churchfield Bells attractive and memorable in the mixed border, more than other triandrus, for reasons we cannot verbalize.

A slim and colorful jonquil, proving you can never be too slender or too pink. Fragrant, floriferous and vigorous.

Cyclataz is the lovechild of a species CYCLAmineus and the TAZetta Grande Soleil d'Or . Vigorous, floriferous, wild in form, rich in color. Cyclataz does well in pot culture. ADS Historic. ADS Miniature. She is also the parent of three notable offspring : Alec Gray's Jumblie, Quince, and Tête à Tête.

Dainty Miss is a siren's song in the garden. An all-white jonquil she goes it alone, only one two-inch perfectly appointed, dainty-cupped flower per stem please. Wanting a chorus of Dainty Miss for your garden is only natural. Compelling. Benchable. Highly mucronate. Miss Dainty is an ADS Classic, Wister Award winner, a mid century spell of Grant Mitsch witchcraft.

I am a bit dubious as to the advisability of classing this as a jonquil hybrid, but its pedigree lends validity to this placement. A most de- lightful little flower that might be compared with Xit, but it is larger and a flower of more rounded form. Grows much more upright than Ocean Spray. The very flat over- lapping perianth, and small saucer shaped crown are glistening white. Hardly eligible for the miniature class, but a beautiful addition to the smaller varieties sometimes designated as intermediates.

Broad hexagonal white and peach split cup will put a hex on your garden bed. Kind of like dancing the tarantella, but for daffodils. Recent van der Veek introduction.

The jonquilla Desert Bells makes two or four tidy and flattened white flowers per scape. Cup mellows to a light lemon. A late blooming dwarf that is at ease in the rock garden, in the pot or on the bench. Show winner. By Grant Mitsch.

A floriferous and feral thing, Diamond Gold is a newer, open pollinated Jonquil from Walter Blom.

A formidable all-white small cup Draycote Water is descended from Princess Zaide who is disappearing from the commercial trade. Like its father Draycote excels in the landscape and on the show bench. Maybe a bit better at both if you are looking for a white small cup, that is.

A historic poetaz, Early Spendour has ample wide petals and a brilliant over all coloration that sings in the sunlight. Easy to photograph, easy to fall in love with. ADS historic.

An impressive upright and look-at-me split cup Electrus is an older seedling from Mr Duncan, Impressive both in the garden and in the vase.

Our flower grower's collective tallied up the sales figures and white flowers were number one, followed closely by anything green. Emerald Green is a large cup, but just, with very broad white petals and a spot of deep emerald green in the eye. A vigorous grower for cut, bench or border. An extra plus ? It's a Grant Mitsch variety, known for their perfection and health. Volume discounts.

Englander is a cyclamineus seedling that retains just a bit of wildness tempered with high sophistication. Sporting a real long schnoz and slim reflexed petals. Like most Brits, Englander, being a cyclamineus, is not well suited for a afternoon siesta in the blazing sun. An ADS miniature . Fab in the pot and the rockery -- Don't be shy, we grew a lot of Englander.

This vigorous Jonquil is a selection, by Walter Blom, of the species N.rupicola (section Apodanthi). Registered twenty years ago we can only assume it was a parent for many of the descendants of his breeding programs. As a selection we assume that this bulbs is fertile both ways. An ADS Miniature.
